Day 1: From Kigali to Bwindi via Coffee and Canoes

Your adventure begins with a scenic transfer from Kigali to Bwindi, crossing the Uganda border. The day invites you into the rhythms of rural life with a captivating coffee tour and canoe trek. Start by hiking through local homesteads surrounded by banana and coffee plantations, where you’ll meet coffee farmers and discover the entire coffee-making process — from planting to roasting. Next, glide across the tranquil waters of Lake Mutanda on a wooden canoe, visiting some of its charming islands. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime experience trekking the elusive mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This ancient forest is home not only to gorillas but also chimpanzees, diverse primates, hundreds of bird species, and vibrant butterflies. Gorilla tracking can last anywhere from 2 to 9 hours or more, across lush, steep, and sometimes muddy terrain, but the reward of seeing these gentle giants up close is incomparable.

Following this unforgettable encounter, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi — known as the “Place of Little Birds.” Nestled near the Rwanda border, this lake is Africa’s second deepest and rare for being safe to swim in. Day 3: Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park
